Leah Jones, CFA, CFP® | Managing Director/Partner

Leah Jones values her long-term relationships with clients. “I listen and understand my clients’ needs through every phase of life and am passionate about making sure we achieve their goals together,” says Leah. With two decades of private wealth management experience, Leah recognizes that today’s world is fluid, and she is always ready to help her clients adapt. Leah joined Hightower as Director of Financial Planning in 2015 and has been in the investment industry since 2003, she became a Partner in 2023.

Leah specializes in developing and implementing complex financial planning strategies and managing investments for her clients. Her knowledge and guidance to clients on investments extends to alternative investments, including hedge funds, private equity and private real estate. She also works advising women and couples through the financial complexities of divorce.

She is passionate about helping both her clients and their children to be financially savvy. She believes financial literacy education can and should start at a young age. She started a company, Good Money Kids, with tips on how to educate kids about money. She also created a children’s book, Kai Makes Money, to address the gap in early education for children about basic money concepts.

Leah is the host of two podcasts. The Everything Money podcast provides timely and topical financial information with a goal of helping listeners to make smart financial decisions. Her Divorce Source with Leah Jones is a podcast with the goal of providing practical guidance to women before, during and after a divorce.

Leah was named as Forbes Best-In-State Women Wealth Managers in 2022, 2023 and 2024. She was also named a Women to Watch in 2022 by InvestmentNews. Leah was recognized as a Top 40 Under 40 Financial Professional by InvestmentNews in 2021. Leah majored in Finance and graduated from Smith School of Business, University of Maryland College Park. She holds citations in CIVICUS and Hinman CEO programs. Leah is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP®). In addition, she has her Series 7, 65 and 63.

Leah lives in North Bethesda, Maryland with her husband and young son and daughter. She likes competitive activity and enjoyed playing basketball, soccer and softball growing up, she currently plays tennis. Outside of work, Leah enjoys family time, photography, and travel. Leah has a lot of experience traveling; she has visited over 20 countries and lived in Spain, Ecuador and Australia.
